Scallions
(Allium cepa)
The mild, more delicate and perishable babies of the onion family, the scallion also offers medicinal properties and acts as a digestive aid. High in Vit A and C, with minerals. May be cooked, but is very versatile raw. Use for a mild bite of flavor and as an attractive garnish for any savory dish.
